Dr. Samantha Streamer Veneruso is the Director of Learning Programs at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) where she is responsible for helping to position AGU as a learning organization and where she is supporting and leading the development of learning programs for the AGU community. She is a facilitator for the American Association of Colleges and Universities for the Institute for General Education and Assessment, and she regularly offers workshops on systemic change, grassroots leadership, alternative assessment, critical pedagogies, and student success. She is a passionate gardener maintaining multiple pollinator gardens and learning to use sustainable practices for small vegetable gardens. She has a doctorate in organizational leadership with a dissertation focused on leadership development for faculty, a master’s degree in instructional systems design, and a bachelor’s degree in Humanities with a focus on comparative literature and philosophy.
