Pitch-a-thon: Hackathon Teams Pitch Their Solutions to Help the Unsheltered Homeless (& After Chat)

During pre-conference event, several EduCon participant teams "hacked" into the challenge of how the hospitality/tourism industries might help those who are unsheltered. Join us as those teams pitch their innovative solutions. YOU, the audience members, will select the winner with the most innovative solution! Come learn about the unsheltered issue affecting cities across the U.S. and how the events industry can help. Hackathon facilitators Donna Kastner and Jamie Murdock will provide an inside look at hackathon strategy and implementation, time permitting.

Jamie Murdock

Murdock is VP of Sales at Experient. He is passionate about inspiring his team to be curious and encourages collaboration across all departments. He holds a BS in Business from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. Prior to Experient, Jamie led the national sales team for Disney Destinations. He also held leadership roles at Hyatt, and Gaylord Hotels, where he was recognized as the Sales Person of the Year and received its CEO’s Leadership Excellence Award. Most recently he was awarded Citizen of the Year by Experient and named one of the Top 500 People in Events by BizBash.
