ELI Advanced Event Design & Strategy Workshop

This workshop is designed to equip experienced business event professionals with the tools, resources, and business savvy to serve as strategic advisors in designing, planning, and executing programs, whether as an in-house event professional, independent, or third-party agency. Expanding on foundational event management skills, workshop participants will explore progressive approaches to apply program strategy development, budgeting, ROI measurement, analytics, elements of project management, and client or stakeholder influencing techniques for any event, whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Begin to develop an ROI-focused strategic plan using comprehensive industry, market, and other analysis to design in-person, virtual, and multi-channel (hybrid) programs/events, regardless of event type or complexity.
  • Prepare event budgets accurately and realistically, with financial performance monitoring and controls in place.
  • Learn how to establish ROI measurement criteria (beyond financial ROI) and actively monitor and report event performance metrics.

ELI Technical Meeting & Event Production Hands-On Labs

Does your audiovisual production proposal read like a foreign language? After the venue, audiovisual is often one of the largest budget items, yet so often, business event professionals are unable to make sense of a typical proposal. Producing events can be a fine art, especially when it comes to gatherings that involve a stage, lectern, and presentations requiring the coordination of audiovisual production, lighting, speakers, and many other components. This hands-on workshop will empower you to understand what kind of gear, staff, and set-up your event needs to not only operate effectively but to look professional, polished, and cost-effective.

You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the tech table and key components of a show, whether simple or complex. We’ll demystify the AV and tech lingo, so you’ll be able to order the right equipment to help you produce the program intended to meet your goals and objectives.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain a detailed understanding of audiovisual and lighting elements involved in producing most meetings and events – including hybrid.
  • Determine the sound and visual inputs required and how to address those needs from a technical standpoint.

Due to the interactive nature of this lab, the session is limited to 20 participants.
